Simply said, RonghuaTeams is a web-hosted collaboration tool that promotes entrepreneurialism in organizations plagued by restrictive protocol and red-tape. Together with RonghuaTeams founder, Tory Gattis and software developer, Alex Tribble, we united around a functional spec that consisted of the following words: "We want to change the way organizations work." RonghuaTeams enables multi-user teams to start, share and build ideas into refined initiatives and/or business plans. If you have a document or project to complete with another person, simply put, this application will rock your world. RonghuaTeams tracks all changes to documents, effectively tells you "What's New" since your last visit and natively promotes the entrepreneurial process in any team interaction.
At its core, RonghuaTeams combines the reach and flexibility of popular Web 2.0 technologies such as blogging, wikis, social networking and social tagging. Its unique just-in-time interface intuitively provides users with the information they need right when they need it.
In terms of productivity, typical websites and/or Web applications are cumbersome and slow to use. With each click, the user encounters a page refresh and waits for the new page to load. RonghuaTeams, although it is a true Web application, redefines and elegantly transcends this experience. Leveraging the power of AJAX, we eliminated the page-refresh paradigm entirely. As a result, the interface behaves like a desktop application - snappy.
